SARs-CoV-19

Urinary Tract Infections

  • While many molecular laboratories report erroneous copy counts of organisms, our novel assay validation procedure enables us to report actual CFU/mL values for bacteria utilizing our PCR methodology
  • In one assay, our panel can detect bacterial, fungal, and viral infections.
  • Just 57% of uropathogens can be found in a typical urine culture, however our molecular UTI panel can find >90% of these infections and their resistance indicators
  • Also, our panel significantly outperforms conventional urine cultures at detecting UTI co-infections
  • Our real-time PCR UTI panel provides findings for both susceptibility and identification on the same day, whereas culture- based approaches require more than 72 hours
